USING THE GAME

Terms of use

The rules for using OctaGOAT.

Playing the game

OctaGOAT is a free browser game. Choose a predefined fictional fighter and guide them through a simulated UFC career. Guest play is available; an account provides a public profile, personal statistics, results history and eligibility for seasonal leaderboards.

Offers, ratings, rankings, fight outcomes and legacy scores are game mechanics, with an element of chance. They are not official sporting assessments, records, advice or predictions. No particular result is guaranteed. The How to play page explains the gameplay rules.

Your account

Use an email address you control and a unique username that does not impersonate another person or contain abusive, discriminatory or unlawful content. Confirm your email before signing in, keep your password private and contact us if you suspect unauthorised access.

The game does not set a minimum age. If you are a minor, involve a parent or guardian where their permission is required by the law that applies to you.

Careers, profiles and sharing

A career is played in the current Play page session. Leaving or reloading that page abandons it. Completed careers are saved as summaries and receive a public result link, including guest careers. Anyone with the link can view the result card and its associated username, if any. Public profiles display usernames, activity dates, statistics and recent results, never email addresses or passwords.

Season leaderboards rank verified accounts by their best eligible career, with one entry per player and up to 30 places. Equal scores are ordered by the career completed first. Season boundaries use UTC and the end time is excluded from the season that ends. Closed rankings remain available as historical snapshots.

You may download, copy and share your own result cards for personal use. Sharing does not transfer rights in the game or third-party names, images or trademarks. Avoid sharing information you wish to keep private.

Fair use

Use the game fairly and respect other players. Do not use bots or scripts to generate results or gain an unfair advantage, manipulate game requests, exploit faults to falsify scores, access another person's information, overload the service, send spam or use accounts to harass others or break the law.

We may investigate suspicious activity, correct invalid records and restrict or suspend access for a justified reason, including abuse or a security concern. You can contact us to request a review. Original site material may not be copied or republished as a competing service without permission, except as permitted by law.

Closing an account

You can delete your account from Account settings. This removes your account, profile and personal statistics and makes your public result cards anonymous. Your entry is removed from any ongoing season's live ranking.

Final seasonal leaderboards retain your public username, rank and career summary recorded at the deadline. After deletion, the name is no longer clickable and no profile remains. You may contact us about a specific archived entry or an erasure request. Copies already downloaded or shared elsewhere cannot be recalled by us.

Voluntary deletion imposes a seven-day waiting period before registration with the same email address. A new account does not restore previous data. After three years of inactivity, we send an email giving 15 days' notice before deletion. Signing in before deletion cancels it; playing a game is not required. The Privacy policy explains retention, inactivity and your rights.

Availability and changes

Access may be interrupted for maintenance, technical problems or improvements. Features, fighter information, ratings and game balance may change. Saved records may be corrected if an error is found. No uninterrupted availability or permanent storage of results is guaranteed. These terms do not remove any mandatory rights you may have.

Optional support and external links

Supporting the project through Ko-fi is voluntary, is not required to play and provides no in-game advantage. Payments take place through Ko-fi and its payment providers. External services, including X and Ko-fi, operate under their own terms and privacy policies.

Independence, contact and applicable law

Not affiliated with UFC. OctaGOAT is independent and is not endorsed or sponsored by UFC, any other MMA organisation or any featured fighter. See the Legal notice for publisher and hosting information.

Use the contact form if you have a question or problem; we will try to resolve it with you. These terms are governed by French law, without depriving you of mandatory protections or rights to bring proceedings that apply in your country of residence.

We may update these terms when the service or its legal requirements change. The date above identifies the latest revision.
